"My Thanksgiving is turning into a Wes Craven movie."

My Thanksgiving this year was fantastic! I went to my dad's cousins house (the wonderful Diane and Lant Pritchett) and there were a total of 23 adults and a handful of toddlers. It was awesome. The food was delicious the company was delightful (anna and her daughter, nadia and her family, betsy and her family and some extras who were equally wonderful.) I'm also very proud of myself for the two dishes I brought: pretzel raspberry jello deliciousness and a green salad with Grandma Orme's poppy seed dressing. Yum. Both were very successful in making and eating! :D go me!

Then on Friday I went to my friend Suzzie's house in New Hampshire and had dinner with her family and our two friends Renae and Dani who went with Suzzie for Turkey Day. Then after dinner we drove 2.5 hours to our friend Faye's house in Maine to visit with her and our 2 friends Tyson and Johnny and Johnny's brother Lance. The below pictures are some moments captured on our AMAZING adventure. It was honestly one of the most FANTASTIC weekends I've ever had. It was full of laughter friends and beautiful places...Faye lives on a lake and it was beautiful because I never in my life have seen such a calm lake (it looked like glass) and the stars were (no joke) reflecting perfectly in the lake. I wish I could've captured it on camera but trust me, there was nothing so calming and beautiful and as amazing as those stars in the sky and reflected in the water. I know this is cliche, but words honestly can't describe how much fun I had. The pictures help though!

"Oh, sorry. My excitement must be clouding my ability to judge comedic hyperbole."

(this picture is an "overview" of Plimouth Plantation--a mock village of Plymouth)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!
I hope your day is filled with love, gratitude, and lots and lots of deliciousness!
I love all of you and miss you too!

the 3 things I am most grateful for are:
-My health--emotional and physical.
-My family who are all currently far away but are a wonderful support to me. I love you guys!
-My friends old and new, close by or far away. I love that they all seem to know how to make me laugh no matter the situation.

I love this holiday and I am thrilled to be able to spend it with the wonderful Diane and Lant Pritchett and multiple other Tueller family members. I am also very grateful for the Pritchett's for being who they are and for welcoming me the way they have.

Have a wondeful day everybody!
Okay I'm done!

"No that was just a car backfiring. The real gunfire actually sounds fake. You'll pick it up eventually. They call it ghetto-ear."

Now. I apologize because my wonderful fabulous beautiful fantastic mother was here November 14-17 and it was so much fun! I didn't blog about it because I was sick with a cold all last week and it drained all of my energy... but we filled our trip with lots of driving but those drives took us to awesome places, namely: Concord, Salem, (my battled 2 favorite places in MA) Ogunquit, ME, and Provincetown, MA--the very tip of the cape cod hook. BEAUTIFUL places all. I loved every minute of this trip including the hilarious attempts at origami at the amazing inn we stayed at in Maine. We ate (mostly) all delicious food and took hundreds of awesome pictures!
So please, forgive me for the ridiculous delay!

"Nothing. I was just feeling left out."

I'm grateful for 2 things (todays thing and yesterdays thing):
1) Cameras of both the digital for it's instant reveal and for film because of the love put into each picture.
2) Beautiful moments that can never be captured to their full extent on camera.

**Maine is a beautiful wonderful place and I'm am thrilled to say that with the exception of a walk in almost pouring rain (and even that was enjoyable to some degree) the weather here has been perfect..not too cold and not to rainy. Windy though...but amazing.

Okay. I'm done.

November 7, 2008

"Wow, That is some serious Great Gatsby pinning."

*this is a double post--the thing i'm grateful for and a rant...*

I am grateful for my Mom and Dad for raising me to be an open-minded, nonjudgmental and caring person.
They taught me that people are different in every single aspect of life and it is our job (our meaning specifically our family--my interpretation) to love everyone not judge anyone.

I've changed my mind. No longer a rant more annoying observations...
--America and the world has witnessed and become a part of history but there are still people who think that it isn't that big of a deal and shouldn't be made into one. Yikes.
--people who say variations of this: "I'm scared for our country". You weren't already?? Obama (i believe) will change that, not make it worse.
--The naive view of many Mormons** (and people of other religions and just plain other ppl) that I have come across about (specifically) "being gay" and gay marriage. The view that it is a sin or wrong or whatever is not for us here on earth to decide. Our job here is to love everyone because (and yes. i really am saying this) "Jesus said love everyone and treat them kindly too." I would also like to throw out a scripture (oh yeah. i went there...) Morm 8:20 Everyone deserves to be loved and NO BODY should be denied the right to marry the person they love and who loves them back. **I realize this is a generalization. Not all LDS ppl believe that.**

Okay...so it turned into a little bit of a rant but still...
I'm done now.

November 6, 2008

I can't get "coming around the mountain" out of my mind. It's like one of those phrases like "drop it like its hot" that I really wish I'd never heard

I am grateful for my job.
I absolutely LOVE those two gorgeous little boys
Connor and Drew (see flickr for pix)
I'm grateful for the snuggles I get from Drew and
I'm grateful for every smile I get from Connor when he sees me for the first time each day.

I have the greatest job.

November 5, 2008

"I see we've entered the no humor zone."

I am grateful to live in a country where the seemingly impossible CAN become possible!

Land of Opportunity at its greatest. finally.

Change is on the way and I'm grateful for that.

President Barack Obama...
I've witnessed and voted for History!!!

November 4, 2008

"You cannot gather here."

I am grateful for my ability to vote for a person I believe will better our country.
I am grateful for the women who stood up for our right to vote in 1920 (and all the years leading up to that time.).
I am plainly grateful for my RIGHT to vote.
(which I did for the first time in my young life!)

Regardless of who you are voting for...this video is worth checking out. Seriously. I promise it's not Christina Aguilera Isaac...(or anybody famous...)

"At least she had a husband to kill."

Happy November everybody!!
To be perfectly cheesy...
November is the month to remember all the things you are thankful for...

I would like to try a new thing for myself (you are of course all welcome to do this as well) which is to write down something I am grateful for--obviously on my blog--each day for the month.

I am grateful for my happiness. It has taken me a long time to get this happy and I am grateful for it. :D
