Okay. basically. i've NEVER dated. not really. I actually just calculated it. I've been on 5 dates w/ 5 ppl and 3 were HS dances, one was a college institute dance, and the other was with a very old friend. I shouldn't be able to do that! Dating just never caught my eye...until now when i know NO ONE!! its kinda frustrating...
why is it so hard? i know.. i know.. its not easy and all that cliche but still. I've had one boyfriend-which was ultimately AWFUL (you all know who i'm talkin' about)-and i screwed up a potential other one-i panicked in the eye of commitment. I don't know what to do. I want to date and maybe even have a relationship or two but i don't know how to go about any of that...
Lots of therapy helped me figure out i'm afraid of commitment (and yes i do realize i'm 21 yrs old) so add that to the equation and we have a real conundrum folks.
ANY advice will be helpful....
(aka amelia...send friends my way...)

"you should drop out and I could quit my job and we can form an all-girl band with Lane"
That title is a partial quote but it seemed excessively long...so the entire quote is:
"Hey, maybe instead of going to college, you should drop out and I could quit my job and we can form an all-girl band with Lane, you know, like Bananarama. We could call it Tangerinarama or Banana-fana-fo-fana-rama. . .or something."
Gotta love the Gilmore Girls...
anyway, my post is about all the great music i've discovered lately, ESPECIALLY this new(ish) artist named Kate Voegele
She is seriously good and I can't get enough of her album. listen to it all the time!!!!!
On this site, if you only have time for ONE song, listen to "Kindly Unspoken" or "It's Only Life"
If you can listen to 2, obviously the other of the above mentioned or "No Good".
Great songs! :D
Also, I've discovered an entertaining song in The Way I Are (feat. Keri Hilson & D.O.E) by Timbaland
And the ALWAYS entertaining Madonna!! Her newest single featuring JT is fantastic!!
Thats mostly it right now. I hope you all enjoy!! :D

"Oh, that would be the year the pumpkins arrived late."
random post today...
Went to my first singles ward meeting today. at 2 in the afternoon. That part kinda sucked, but overall it was just awkward. and it was ALL me. I just felt so out of place. But i think it will be okay, i just have to keep going I guess. ppl my own age; ppl my own age; ppl my own age...thats my mantra (did ya guess?). my ward consists of students from: Harvard, Boston U, Boston C, MIT and Wellsley. Now, I know that I am very smart and that I will go on to do fantastic things, but those schools are some of the most fantastic schools in the country in one city (basically). I feel a little dumb in comparison. again i am not dumb, but i just felt a little overwhelmed. I can't even afford to take a class at some of these places.
Thats basically it for now...

This is my first official week as a full fledged nanny.
Today was my first day and it went well.
I'm excited to be here and I love the kids!
But also, I'm ready to start to have a life. I want to meet
people, I want to make FRIENDS. I want to leave behind all
my struggles with myself, old (not so good) friends, while remembering
and missing my great friends. And sadly (but a its a good thing)
I still have to fully move on from the one guy I've mostly let
go of. I still have never really dated anybody (except him and that doesn't
really count) and while I'm only 21, I do believe that I truly
Loved him with every ounce of my being and for anyone who has
loved and lost, you understand how hard it is to get over.
But not only have I loved him, I RELIED on him.
So my point is, I'm 21 and I'm ready to have a life.
As cliche and cheesy as it is, This is where my life really starts
and I can't wait for it to begin.
I don't really know what the point of this post is, but it doesn't really matter.
It was something I needed to say to I guess finally but a few more
(final) nails in the lock-box known as the part of my heart that belongs to Jake.
I'm almost done with that box. I think I'm down to one more nail...
Random note, I joined a gym and I'm EXCITED about it because I also signed up for
a personal trainer (hello motivation...) :D I'll keep you all posted (at least
you mom...) about how that goes...
Okay, I'm Really done...

"Do you happen to be in the market for a house? Cuz this baby's a honey."
really random post here but basically i went on a very relaxing very beautiful very wonderful walk around a very beautiful very randomly placed lake. (i like the word "very" today)
and on this wonderful walk (the baby was with me, the toddler was not), i saw some AMAZINGLY beautiful houses. The kind of house I DREAM of living in one day. well...I'll let my pictures do the talking for me. Even if you don't agree with my version of a "dream house" the pictures for pictures sake are wonderful(i like that word too...)! my ideal house is the middle one on the second row.

"I'm a failure. I am stupid. I'm uninformed and ignorant and I can't even think of a second synonym for uniformed!"
*do not actually believe title. its from Rory, the smartest TV character I know. :D*
The title to this post is referring to the fact that Harvard (which is in Mass for those of you who didn't know! haha) has over 90 libraries and 13 million volumes. The Reading (pronounced Redding) Public library is of course not that big but I am a library card holder of the Reading Public Library (RPL) and I'm super excited! I checked out 4 of the Robert B Parker books but I still can't find the first book in the Spenser series! grr! I have 2-6...Dad if you read this...I would love a copy of the first one from Ebay or Amazon...I can email you my new address...hint hint..
Also, this library has a fabulous kid area on the second floor which hosts story time and infant and toddler sing-alongs. Perfect for my kids! :D So far so great! I'm having a blast so far especially since today was my first official day as NANNY! Which brings me to my fortune cookie fortune (we had chinese/thai food today for dinner; i'm working on getting my own life! give me time! :D). The fortune says: Your success will astonish everyone. How cool is that! Score! below is a picture (or two) of the RPL as well as the picture of the promised yellow house!

Oh, and Drew wanted to smile and laugh for you all!!
Here are two cute PICTURES of Drew (as promised)!!

Okay. Thats it for me this post! Enjoy! :D

"I'm going to have color coming out of my yin-yang"
The collage of photos are of my little semi-private living area. It goes as follows: stairs from upstairs, bathroom 1, bathroom 2, Conner's major play area, my living area, my private entrance, my room 1, my room 2. :D its so nice and really comfortable. Brand new bed and all that goes with it! The rest of the house is great (the outside is a great shade of YELLOW!!!) and I'll work on getting a picture of it. The neighborhood is beautiful and I've heard its nice and lots of friendly ppl! I can't wait to explore and get my bearings better tomorrow and which point I will post again! So happy, so glad to be here! Its gonna be fantastic and I demand visitors! :D
