I took Connor and Drew on a VERY
New England adventure:
APPLE PICKING!
Holy crap it was SO MUCH FUN!
Connor was having such a blast picking his very own apples that he was on FANTASTIC behavior which allowed me to also have a wonderful
time! We got to pick a PECK (haha)
of apples and a carton of raspberries
and a couple of little pumpkins
(because it's too early for Halloween
size big ones!). It was perfect weather
and it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!
Everyone--it is officially fall! :D
We had so many DELICIOUS apples
to take home that we didn't know what
to do with them all, so I thought how
wonderful would it be to make Grandma
Orme's apple pie! So I did! Officially and
completely all by myself! Homemade pie
crust and all! It was SCRUMPTIOUS, if
I do say so myself! :D just LOOK at it!!!

This was a wedding that I just could NOT miss. Ash has been such a wonderful friend of mine for many many years and I am so very happy for her. She looked so beautiful and happy. David is a great guy and I'm really happy that they've found each other. Congrats ashley and david! :D
And I'm SO happy that I was trusted with the music for their wedding reception. If i do say so myself, I did a FABULOUS job. haha :D

but just to break it down for ya'll my trip home for this wonderful event:
Saturday (sept. 20):
4:30 am-on the way to Boston Logan International Airport
6:00 am-left BLIA to JFK
9:00 am-left JFK for SLC
11:50 am- LANDED in SLC for a 1:30 (start time) temple wedding
1:30-3:00-Temple pictures
3:30-5:15-hung out w/ Isley and saw curtis and deacon for a nano second!
5:30-8:30-the reception...where YES I did meet old but now new friend, KC...
8:30-midnight-hung out with KC, his cousin Devin, and a saw Isley (again :D) and Sophie and Deacon for another nano second!
Sunday (sept. 21):
2-3 AM-hung out w/ dustin and bryce
7:30 am-on the way to SLC Airport
9:00 am-left SLC for JFK
5:30 pm-left JFK for BLIA
7:20 pm-home in Reading, MA.
8:30 pm-exhausted, I fell asleep.

It was an intense day. Wow. But I am so very glad that I went. It was ABSOLUTELY worth it.

So basically here is what I have been up too:
1) I'm starting to get sick. Grr.
2) I'm going home for a whirlwind wedding trip (not my own of course) this weekend. :D
3) I've lost 25 lbs since being in Massachusetts.
4) I've been in Massachusetts for 6 months now. Wow.
5) I've made another significant dent in my AFI top 100 movies list (24 left to go!!)
6) I've developed a "worry" I never thought I'd have: worrying about hurricanes in LA...

Thats about it I guess...
I'm really really happy with how things are going in my life right now and I'm THRILLED to be able to say that!! I mean, I still wish that SOME things were going better but all that stuff will be taken care of in due time. I'll figure it all out. :D
Now, if only there was a magic button or switch or lever to tell me what to do next april, that would be AWESOME!...

So I am officially a full fledged 100% supporter of Barack Obama.
After watching the R.N.C. these last 2 days has just cemented my thinking that McCain/Palin are just NOT my choice at all. They just make me frustrated. And Palin is a BITCH! I was so annoyed at the end of her speech (my end not her official end) that I couldn't stand it! But that is not the point of this post. The point is to say that after some discussion about the issues (in a broad sense) that confused me with my mom, I feel proud to say that I will truly be submitting an informed vote in November and I'm thrilled to be doing so!! I am proud of myself for "researching" about it all on my own BEFORE talking to my parents about any of it-not that I don't value their opinions but I wanted to be able to honestly say that I formed my own opinions that just happen to be the same as my parents. I am glad to say that they are the same, but that doesn't matter because I found out for myself. :D

Okay. So I will first off start by saying that there is a DEFINITE possibility that I am slightly misinformed-no BEHIND on information about the current presidential campaign. With that said:
Democrat women of the US who support Hillary Clinton: WAKE UP!
Yes, I agree with you. She was treated unfairly in the primaries and it is a damn shame that she was and that as a supposedly advanced, free and equal country we have seen proof that people around our country do not agree. I (granted I'm 21 and haven't experienced it first hand-to this degree) hate that sexism still apparently exists profoundly here! It is unfair and not right. Women are just as smart and capable as any man in this world, maybe even more so in some cases. If that fact is accepted in the workplace and "minor" political offices (minor being not president...I am not saying that any office is any less important..) why is it not okay for a woman to be president? The logic of a woman not being able to handle the pressure, etc is pure bull! It is absolute crap.
But with that said-I go back to WAKE UP!
I have been for the past 2 months been getting the Boston Globe everyday so that I can be an informed voter this year (in my first MAJOR election! :D) and let me tell you, it is AWESOME to know what is going on and that I can honestly say for myself that Obama is truly my choice. I could go into my reasons why, but the people who read this already know because they have the same reasons as me (i think)!
I know would just like to say that the Democrat women (who support H.C.) need to-for the current issue at hand-get over their feminist rampage and vote for Obama! Yes H.C. should've been treated better, but when I read about the women who are "protesting" the Dems by voting for McCain or not voting at all is just plain stupid! We need a better future and this feminist rampage could potentially kill that future! If Clinton is now genuinely behind Obama, then her supporters should be as well for the plain and simple reason of getting the Republicans out of the White House! This country can't handle another YEAR (let alone 4-8) of this.
Okay I'll close by being nicer to those H.C. supporters: Women deserve just as much right for the top job as any man does, but as sad as it is, our country is too ignorant (is that the word i want??) to acknowledge that right now. Once we have taken back the White House, etc, please! continue with the modern day women's right campaign. I fully support that!

Don't you love when you begin a night expecting it to be a quiet relaxing night out alone-dinner, a movie, home early-ish then get a good nights sleep. Sounds like a nice night after a long week.
Well. that was how my night was supposed to be.
INSTEAD it was dinner, movie, and a FIVE HOUR CONVERSATION (as in just now at 6 am getting to bed...) with a very old friend whom I haven't spoken to in 10 years...oh and just to throw in further explanation for why this deserves its own blog post-the conversation was with the guy who was my first REAL (aka non leo dicaprio) crush...
I am all smiles...
It was a good night...
oh, and i don't even mind that I was locked out of the house...
